Welcome to ESG Ahead.
These Terms of Service explain how you may use ESG Ahead and what you can expect from us. They also describe your rights and responsibilities when using the service.
We have written these Terms in clear and simple English so they are easy to understand.
By creating an account or using ESG Ahead, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.
1. About ESG Ahead
ESG Ahead is an online learning and knowledge platform that helps professionals develop ESG knowledge and practical leadership capabilities.
The service may include:
- articles and learning materials
- courses and learning programmes
- videos, podcasts and downloadable resources
- AI-powered learning tools
- recommendations
- certificates and badges
- webinars and events
- community discussions
- mentoring services
- partner content
Some services are included in your membership. Others may be offered as separate paid services.

2. Your account
You are responsible for your account.
Please:
- provide accurate information
- keep your password secure, never use same password in many services
- keep your contact information up to date
- use only your own account
You are responsible for all activity that takes place using your account.
3. Memberships
ESG Ahead currently offers:
- Free – Stay Informed
- Premium – Stay Ahead
- Sponsored Premium (Premium membership activated using an approved sponsor voucher)
We may introduce additional memberships and services in the future, including learning programmes, mentoring and organisation plans.
Membership features may change as ESG Ahead develops.
4. Paid subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing period.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
We do not store your payment card information.
Prices may change in the future. Any price changes will not affect your current billing period.
5. Refunds
If you purchase a subscription as a consumer within the European Union, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal where required by applicable law.
If you choose to start using Premium services immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may be reduced or end once digital content or services have been delivered, as permitted by applicable law.
After the applicable withdrawal period, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
Cancelling your subscription prevents future renewals but does not refund payments already made.
6. Sponsored memberships
When you apply for sponsored access:
- you decide what information to provide
- your application is sent directly to the sponsor
- the sponsor evaluates your application using its own processes
- the sponsor gives you a ESG Ahead voucher code
Sponsors do not have access to your ESG Ahead learning history, activity, recommendations, certificates or other platform data unless you explicitly share that information with them.
Sponsors are responsible for processing application information according to their own Privacy Policies.
7. Learning programmes and mentoring
Some learning programmes, mentoring services and workshops may be offered separately from your membership.
Additional terms or agreements may apply to these services.
8. Learning progress, badges and certificates
ESG Ahead records your learning activity so you can continue your learning journey across devices.
Your learning history may include:
- completed lessons
- course progress
- quizzes
- badges
- certificates
- video progress
- reading activity
Certificates issued by ESG Ahead confirm successful completion of learning activities.
Unless explicitly stated, certificates are not professional licences, official qualifications or accredited certifications.
Some certificates may be issued through trusted third-party services such as Certifier.
If you delete your ESG Ahead account, your learning history will be removed from ESG Ahead. Certificates already issued remain available through the certificate service.
9. Community
Registered members may participate in discussions, comments and other community features.
Please behave professionally and respectfully.
Do not post content that:
- is illegal
- infringes copyright
- contains malware
- contains spam
- is abusive or offensive
- impersonates another person
- attempts to disrupt the service
Comments may only be edited or deleted for a limited period after posting.
10. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create.
By posting content to ESG Ahead, you give ESG Ahead a non-exclusive licence to:
- display it within the service
- index it for search
- use it in AI-assisted search results
- include it in recommendations
- use it to answer user questions
- improve ESG Ahead services
- create new learning material
- use success stories and similar content in ESG Ahead marketing
We do not use your content to train external AI models.
11. Downloads
Downloadable materials are provided for your own personal or internal business use.
Unless expressly permitted, you may not:
- resell
- redistribute
- publish
- commercially exploit
12. AI features
ESG Ahead may include AI-powered features.
AI may use information from:
- ESG Ahead content
- public Internet sources
- large language models
- publicly available information
- community discussions within ESG Ahead
Community discussions may be used as searchable content when answering questions.
They are not used to train external AI models.
AI-generated answers may occasionally contain mistakes or outdated information.
Always verify important information before making business, legal or financial decisions.
13. Recommendations
ESG Ahead personalises recommendations using your activity, including:
- pages viewed
- reading time
- video watching time
- completed learning
- ratings
- votes
- browsing activity within ESG Ahead
Recommendations are intended to improve your learning experience.
They do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
14. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, ESG Ahead and its content are owned by Uniwaves Oy or its content partners or embedded content owners.
This includes:
- articles
- videos
- graphics
- learning materials
- course content
- downloads
- badges
- software
- platform design
- trademarks
Partner content remains the property of its respective owner.
15. External services
ESG Ahead integrates with third-party services including payment providers, certificate providers, video services and event platforms.
Examples include:
- Stripe
- Certifier
- YouTube
- Spotify
- Fienta
These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
ESG Ahead is not responsible for third-party services.
16. Service availability
We continuously improve ESG Ahead.
Features, content, courses and functionality may change over time.
From time to time the service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates or technical issues.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
17. Beta features
Some features may be marked as Beta or Early Access.
These features may:
- change without notice
- contain bugs
- be discontinued
- become paid features later
Feedback is always welcome.
18. Ending your account
You may close your account at any time.
When your account is deleted:
- your learning history is removed
- your membership ends
- your future access ends
Certificates already issued remain available through the certificate service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service.
19. Educational purpose
ESG Ahead provides educational information and professional learning resources.
The service does not provide:
- legal advice
- audit advice
- investment advice
- official compliance certification
- professional consulting services
You remain responsible for your own business decisions.
20. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ESG Ahead and Uniwaves Oy are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or content.
Our total liability relating to your use of ESG Ahead will not exceed the subscription fees you have paid to ESG Ahead during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
21. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Information about how we collect, use and protect personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as ESG Ahead develops.
If significant changes are made, we will notify users through the service or by email where appropriate.
The latest version is always available on the ESG Ahead website.
23. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland.
Any disputes that cannot first be resolved through discussion shall be handled by the competent courts located in Espoo, Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.
